Lash extensions: looking after a new set
Fills, aftercare, and how to make them last.
A full set of extensions is applied lash by lash, so the first appointment takes a while. After that it is about upkeep.
The first 24 hours
Keep them dry and away from steam. The adhesive is still curing. After that, water is fine.
Day to day
Skip oil-based products around the eyes, do not pick or rub, and brush them through gently with the little spoolie each morning. Sleeping on your back helps more than people expect.
Fills
Your natural lashes shed on their own cycle, so a set thins out over two to three weeks. A fill at the two-week mark keeps them looking full; leave it to three weeks and it becomes closer to a new set.
If your eyes are sensitive or you have had a reaction to lash glue before, tell us first — there are gentler adhesives and we can patch-test.
